Scared to Death (2026) – When Research Turns Deadly
In this wild horror-comedy, ambitious young filmmaker Jasper (Olivier Paris) is tired of being a production assistant. To impress his tyrannical boss Max (Lin Shaye), he convinces the entire crew to hold a real séance inside an abandoned children’s orphanage for “authentic research” on their upcoming horror film.

The orphanage was shut down in 1942 after five orphans were mysteriously found scared to death. As the séance begins, the group becomes trapped inside the decaying building. Ghostly children haunt the halls, while something far more sinister lurks in the shadows.
Bill Moseley delivers a scene-stealing performance as the quirky property manager Felix, adding dark humor and chaos to the terror. With strong supporting turns from Victoria Konefal (as Lena), Jade Chynoweth, Kurt Deimer, Rae Dawn Chong, and more, the film blends jump scares, meta laughs, and old-school practical creature effects.

Will the crew survive the night… or will they become the next victims scared to death?
A hilarious yet chilling tribute to horror filmmaking from director Paul Boyd. Perfect for fans of Insidious and The Devil’s Rejects vibes with a comedic twist.
