PLEASE KEEP DANIEL NEWMAN AND HIS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS — HIS COURAGEOUS CANCER JOURNEY HAS TOUCHED SO MANY

Daniel Newman of Mobile, Alabama, was just 13 years old when he was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in August 2020.
Since then, his family says he has endured an extraordinary series of medical challenges. He underwent surgery to remove the brain tumor followed by chemotherapy. In 2021, Daniel experienced a critical medical emergency that required ECMO support after multiple organs began failing. His family was even warned that they might need to prepare for the worst.

But Daniel kept fighting.
In 2022, complications involving circulation led to the amputation of his left leg. He later learned to walk with a prosthetic and returned home to Mobile. Despite missing much of ninth grade because of treatment, Daniel completed his coursework during the summer and returned to school with his friends.
In 2025, he graduated from St. Luke’s Episcopal School.
Then his family received more devastating news: the cancer had returned and spread to his brain and spine. Daniel continued exploring treatment options, including participation in a clinical trial.
More recently, his family says scans at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital showed aggressive progression of the cancer in his brain.
Daniel has now entered hospice care in Mobile, surrounded by his loved ones as they focus on keeping him comfortable and giving him as much love and support as possible.
Through every chapter of his journey, Daniel has continued to demonstrate remarkable perseverance.
Please keep Daniel, his parents Danno and Mandy, his sisters Addison and Harlee, his grandmother Gale Cᴀssady, and their entire family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. 🙏❤️
