Patrick Clancy’s new wife revealed she first met the grieving father while he was jogging in Central Park — sparking a romance that flung her into the limelight as his ex-wife’s high-profile murder trial gripped the nation.
Rachel Danis, an infertility specialist who tied the knot with Patrick Clancy in April, shared the story while sat beside her husband for his first interview since Lindsay Clancy’s trial ended with a hung jury earlier this month.
“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” she said, dismissing criticism they’ve received for their marriage from online trolls and unhinged influencers.
“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that,” she added in the teaser clip for their upcoming “60 Minutes” interview, scheduled to air in full on Sunday evening.
Patrick Clancy moved to Manhattan after he found his three young children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan — had been strangled by his ex-wife in the basement of their Mᴀssachusetts home in January 2023.
He later ran into Danis, 37, who works as a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at an NYC-based reproductive clinic.

The duo got married at an intimate ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park, followed by a celebration with friends and family at the Sarabeth’s restaurant nearby.
“I don’t understand how the story’s been so twisted,” Danis said in the clip, teased on CBS Friday morning.
“But I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner.”
Lindsay Clancy’s grueling murder trial ended in a mistrial on Sept. 4 after the 12-person jury, made up of nine women and three men, failed to reach a unanimous verdict after seven days of deliberation.
Eleven jurors agreed she was not guilty by reason of insanity, siding with the defense’s claims she suffered from severe postpartum psychosis. One holdout, however, believed she was guilty.
After sending out three impᴀsse notes, Judge William Sullivan was forced to declare a mistrial.
