Sensational stories are spreading online after viral posts claimed that archaeologists uncovered a mysterious creature with human-like hands and a lion-shaped face inside a hidden Egyptian tomb.

However, there is currently no verified scientific evidence supporting the existence of hybrid human–animal creatures from ancient myths. Experts note that many dramatic online stories involving strange mummies or unusual skeletons are often exaggerated, fictionalized, digitally manipulated, or inspired by ancient symbolism and mythology rather than genuine biological discoveries.

Even so, the eerie claim is reigniting worldwide fascination with ancient Egypt, lost tombs, and the mysterious creatures described in myth and legend.
