When Kiara Duprey and her husband, Javier Floreniani, learned they were expecting their first child, they couldn’t wait to meet their baby girl. But during a 12-week ultrasound, doctors discovered that her limbs had not developed.

The news was heartbreaking, and the couple was faced with difficult conversations about the pregnancy. Despite the uncertainty, Kiara never questioned her decision to continue carrying her daughter.

She believed her little girl was already perfect.

When Arianna was born, doctors confirmed she had transverse limb deficiency, a rare condition in which a baby is born without some or all of their limbs. Although she spent her first week in the hospital for monitoring, she soon went home with her family and began proving just how determined she was.

Now eight months old, Arianna is reaching milestones that continue to amaze her parents. She can sit up on her own, hold her bottle, and is eagerly exploring the world around her. As she grows, doctors will evaluate when she may be ready for prosthetic limbs.

Unfortunately, not everyone has responded with kindness. After sharing Arianna’s story online, Kiara received hurtful comments from strangers who criticized her decision to continue the pregnancy.

Instead of letting the negativity define their journey, Kiara has chosen to focus on her daughter’s abilities rather than her differences.

She says many people wrongly ᴀssume Arianna cannot move or enjoy life like other children, but nothing could be further from the truth.

According to her mom, Arianna is curious, determined, and full of personality. When her pacifier falls out, she eagerly tries to put it back herself, always finding new ways to accomplish everyday tasks.

For Kiara, her daughter isn’t defined by what she’s missing.

She sees a happy little girl with limitless potential—a child who deserves to be celebrated for her strength, determination, and joyful spirit.
