MILLIE’S LATEST UPDATE BRINGS SEVERAL ENCOURAGING WINS AS HER FAMILY WAITS FOR THE NEXT STEP ❤️

Millie had a peaceful day with several little victories that gave her family plenty to celebrate.
After being a bit fussy in the morning, she became much more comfortable later in the day. Her eye is still swollen, and doctors have warned that it may temporarily look worse before improving, but thankfully she seemed much less bothered by it.
She is also continuing to do well on high-flow oxygen and is tolerating her respiratory support. Her family remains hopeful that as her lungs grow stronger, she will eventually be able to come off that support.

Another encouraging milestone came during feeding time: Millie finished an entire 10 mL bottle and drank it very quickly! Her family was incredibly proud and hopes she will soon have more opportunities to practice bottle feeding.
Her digestion also appeared more comfortable today, with Millie managing to have bowel movements on her own. Her care team is adjusting her prune juice as needed to see whether that helps prevent discomfort.
For now, there are no major changes. Her family is spending time cuddling their little girl while waiting for updates from Cox and St. Louis Children’s about the possibility of returning home.
They continue to ask for prayers for Millie’s lungs to become stronger, for her to tolerate her feedings well, and for her eye to continue healing.
Every small milestone feels enormous for this family — and today, Millie gave them several reasons to celebrate.
