Kaia Gerber’s friends and boyfriend Lewis Pullman stepped in to help when her beloved cat, Tony, went missing — just days after the model lost her brother, Presley Gerber.

On September 23, Pullman, comedian Jake Shane and director Carissa Gallo were pH๏τographed searching the Hollywood Hills and putting up “Lost Cat” posters featuring Tony, a gray cat with green eyes who was wearing a tracker.

The search came during an especially difficult period for Kaia and her family. Presley, 27, died on September 20. His family has asked for privacy as they grieve, while officials have said the cause and manner of his d#ath remain deferred pending additional testing.

Thankfully, there was a happier update the following day: PEOPLE confirmed that Tony had been found after the missing-cat posters were distributed. TMZ later reported that the cat was located using his tracker.

For Kaia, the safe return of Tony brought a small moment of relief during an otherwise painful time. The support from her friends and Lewis also highlighted the people staying close to her as she and her family continue to mourn Presley.
