The tragic case of three-year-old Noah Woods has left his family and the Brantham community searching for answers after the little boy disappeared during an afternoon visit to a local playground.

Noah was reported missing on September 15 after becoming separated from a relative near Merriam Close. Police said CCTV showed him running toward the nearby new-build estate and Decoy Pond. Despite a huge search involving specialist teams, emergency services and around 1,300 members of the public, Noah was not located that day.

BODY RECOVERED FROM DECOY POND

On September 16, Metropolitan Police dive officers recovered the b#dy of a child from Decoy Pond. The following day, Suffolk Constabulary confirmed through formal identification that the child was Noah.

Police initially described the circumstances as “not suspicious but unexplained.” Their subsequent update stated that Noah’s d#ath was not being treated as suspicious, although officers still had enquiries to complete before submitting a file to the coroner.

NO OFFICIAL “FATAL BLOW” HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

Despite online claims about an autopsy supposedly identifying a precise injury that caused Noah’s d#ath, Suffolk Constabulary’s published updates do not announce such a finding.

There is also no official police statement confirming that forensic documents highlighted in red contain a newly discovered injury or that investigators have announced a criminal turning point.

That distinction matters because the investigation remains connected to the coroner’s process, and conclusions circulating online should not be presented as established findings unless they have been officially released.

A FAMILY NOW ASKING FOR PRIVACY

Noah’s family later released a deeply personal tribute describing him as a happy and playful three-year-old who loved to laugh and brought joy to those around him.

They also asked people to remember Noah as a child who was at the centre of his family’s world.

For now, the confirmed facts remain heartbreaking but limited: Noah disappeared near the Brantham playground, was later recovered from Decoy Pond, and his d#ath is not being treated as suspicious by police.

The remaining questions surrounding exactly what happened are now part of the continuing enquiries and coroner’s process.
