UNEXPECTED DRAMA ERUPTS AT THE LINDSAY CLANCY TRIAL — A WOMAN BECOMES THE CENTER OF ATTENTION AS CROWDS CLOSE IN, AND ONE DETAIL HAS PEOPLE TAKING NOTICE…

A woman who was arrested for ‘filming jurors’ outside of Lindsay Clancy‘s murder trial was mobbed by reporters and furious supporters on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday afternoon, Dawn Light, 56, was arrested outside of Plymouth Superior Court for allegedly recording jurors on her phone as they exited the courthouse.

At her arraignment hearing in the same building on Wednesday, Light was formally charged with aggravated intimidation, and prosecutors asked for a $50,000 cash bail.

The Mᴀssachusetts woman was engulfed by a media frenzy as well as angry Clancy supporters on her way out of the courthouse, with one person shouting: ‘Congratulations, you are a celebrity now.’

Later in the morning, a different woman fainted inside the courthouse corridors, but appeared to be ok after officers rushed to her side.

The jury in Clancy’s murder trial will enter its fifth day of deliberations today after returning ᴅᴇᴀᴅlocked on Tuesday.

The nine women and three men were unable to reach a unanimous decision before Judge William Sullivan ordered them to continue to weigh up evidence yesterday.

Clancy is on trial for killing her three children Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months, using exercise bands at her Duxbury, Mᴀssachusetts, home in January 2023. She has admitted to the slayings but pleaded not guilty to murder.

Dawn Light swarmed by media after intimidation arraignment hearing

Dawn Light, 56, was swarmed by the media as she left the courthouse on Wednesday.

She was very defensive, claiming she wanted to see Clancy and wasn’t filming the jury.

However, at the arraignment hearing, prosecutors claimed that police found a video of the juror in the deleted folder on Light’s phone.

When asked why she was filming, she said, ‘I wasn’t.’ Then she said, ‘I just wanted to see Lindsay.’

At one point she said, ‘Leave me alone.’

Light, who described herself as a ‘true crime junkie,’ has insisted she was not trying to intimidate anyone, but only wanted to film Clancy as she left the courthouse.

WATCH: Prosecution’s closing arguments

ADA Jennifer Sprague presented the closing argument and asked the jury to find Clancy guilty of murder on Thursday.

‘She knew what she did was wrong. She could conform her behavior to the law and chose not to,’ Sprague said.

‘She didn’t expect to have any consequences because she expected to die with her children.

‘You know it was deliberate premeditation because of the way she killed them and the way they died.’

Sprague continued: ‘She didn’t see them in that moment as individual human beings with rights, with dreams, with futures.

‘She didn’t bring them up to their beds; she left them, discarded on the basement floor, like broken toys, like she was done playing the game. You know, to a moral certainty, she is guilty.’

One member of the jury appeared to wipe away tears during the closing argument.

Lindsay Clancy verdict ‘disaster’: Legal experts predict nightmare ending no one saw coming

The jury’s admission they cannot reach a unanimous raises the specter of a hung jury, according to legal experts who spoke with the Daily Mail.

It raises the horrific prospect of this trial being played out all over again – and a prosecution once again brought that, according to many, should never have been brought in the first place.

‘Just a disaster if it’s a hung jury,’ criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor Mark Bederow told the Daily Mail.

What sentence is Lindsay Clancy facing?

Lindsay Clancy is on trial for the murders of her three children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, at her home in Duxbury in January 2023.

She does not deny she killed them, but has pleaded not guilty and claimed she is not responsible for her actions because she was suffering postpartum psychosis after being prescribed a powerful cocktail of drugs to cope with depression.

The prosecution has argued the killings were intentional and well planned, not the work of someone who had lost control.

Jurors are now deciding if she is guilty of murder, manslaughter or not guilty due to a lack of criminal responsibility.

If convicted of murder, she faces life in prison without parole.

If the jury finds her guilty of manslaughter, she faces a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars.

If found not guilty due to a lack of criminal responsibility, she would be committed to a state mental health facility.
