Just days after revealing that leaving The Voice UK was not his decision, Sir Tom Jones has turned his attention back to what he knows best: performing live.

The 86-year-old singer recently promoted his Come Gather Round Tour, telling fans, “I’ll see you very soon” as the tour prepared to continue with multiple sold-out shows.

The timing has inevitably caught attention.

Jones had publicly said that ITV made the decision to remove him from the coaching lineup, explaining that he loved the show and was disappointed by how the change was handled. ITV, meanwhile, announced a major refresh of the program and thanked Jones for his years on the series.

Rather than dwelling on the television shake-up, however, Jones is now stepping back onto the stage.

His official website continues to highlight his 2026 touring schedule, while the Come Gather Round Tour includes performances across North America.

And that simple message to fans — “I’ll see you very soon” — has taken on extra meaning after such a sudden change in his television career.

The red chair may be behind him for now.

But the stage is still waiting.
