Pope Leo XIV at Regina Caeli: “Anticipate Heaven on Earth”!lh

During the Regina Caeli prayer at the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV encouraged the faithful to “anticipate Heaven on Earth” by living lives marked by charity, peace, forgiveness, and hope.

Addressing thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope reflected on the Christian call to bring the values of God’s kingdom into everyday life. He explained that believers should not wait pᴀssively for eternal life, but actively build communities rooted in compᴀssion, justice, and fraternity here and now.

“Heaven begins whenever love triumphs over hatred, whenever mercy overcomes indifference, and whenever humanity chooses peace instead of violence,” Pope Leo declared. His words were met with warm applause from pilgrims and visitors attending the prayer.

The Pontiff also urged Christians to become visible witnesses of hope in a world increasingly marked by fear, conflict, and social division. He emphasized that even small acts of kindness and solidarity can reflect “a glimpse of Heaven” within society.
Concluding the Regina Caeli, Pope Leo entrusted families, young people, the sick, and victims of war to the protection of the Virgin Mary, praying that humanity may rediscover the path toward reconciliation, joy, and lasting peace.
