BABY S SHEFFIELD CASE: FOUR ADULTS FACE M#RDER CHARGES AS THE INVESTIGATION MOVES TOWARD TRIAL

A newborn baby girl known publicly as Baby S was found at a property in Sheffield on August 30, 2026, after police responded to concerns about the safety of an infant. A forensic post-mortem later determined that her d#ath resulted from st#b wounds, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Four adults — Andrea Skopova, Peter Horvath Jr., Peter Horvath Sr. and Nina Horvathova — have been charged with m#rder, along with additional allegations relating to the circumstances surrounding the infant’s d#ath. A 15-year-old girl has also been charged with perverting the course of justice and cannot be named because of her age.

The case is now moving through the courts, with the defendants remanded in custody. Prosecutors have stressed that the charges are allegations only and that every defendant has the right to a fair trial.
