On September 8, 2026, Precious Arzuaga and Jennifer Quijano were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for their roles in the horrific k!dnapping, abuse, and m*rder of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist in New York.
Sam, who was from Minnesota, had traveled to New York in 2024 after beginning an online relationship with Arzuaga. According to his family, Sam believed he had found someone he could love and build a future with—someone who would accept him for who he was.
Prosecutors presented a deeply disturbing account of what happened after his arrival.
Sam was reportedly taken to Patty’s Lodge in Hopewell, where prosecutors said he was held against his will and subjected to weeks of physical, psychological, and Sєxual abuse. Investigators said he was repeatedly beaten, restrained, humiliated, and t*rtured.
His ordeal ended on February 2, 2025, when Sam d!ed.
