To anyone meeting two-year-old Betty, she looks like a happy, energetic little girl who simply loves being a toddler.

But behind her bright smile is a heartbreaking journey her family never expected. 💔

Betty was diagnosed with neuroblastoma after a persistent fever, loss of appeтιтe, paleness and unusual tiredness raised concerns.

Since then, she has endured an incredibly difficult course of treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell harvesting, surgery and radiotherapy. At one point, a complication involving her abdominal tumour left her critically ill and needing a ventilator. 🏥💗

For a moment, her family received hopeful news when a scan showed no active neuroblastoma cells.

But further scans later revealed that the cancer had returned in several areas, including the fluid surrounding her brain, her knee, diaphragm and bone marrow.

Doctors have now told Betty’s parents that they do not believe they can cure her with the treatments currently available through the NHS.

🌷🙏 HER FAMILY REFUSES TO GIVE UP
Betty’s parents, Alicia and Kelvin, are now trying to raise £625,000 in hopes of taking their daughter to a children’s hospital in Barcelona for further treatment.

For them, it’s about one thing:

giving Betty more time. 💗

And through everything, Betty remains the same joyful little girl who loves Bluey, Peppa Pig and Miss Rachel. 🥹🌈

Her mother says Betty’s strength and beautiful smile are what keep her going every morning.

She may be facing a journey no child should have to endure, but Betty continues to fill her family’s world with love, laughter and hope. 💕🙏✨
