WADE WILSON’S DEATH ROW NIGHTMARE EXPOSED — THE “ᴅᴇᴀᴅPOOL K!LLER” REMAINS TRAPPED IN FLORIDA’S HIGH-SECURITY SYSTEM

Wade Wilson, known online by the nickname “ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool K!ller,” remains incarcerated on Florida’s d3ath row, where his case continues to draw intense public attention. Wilson was sentenced to d3ath in August 2024 after being convicted of the 2019 k!llings of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz. He is currently held at Union Correctional Insтιтution in Raiford, Florida.
Despite the dramatic language often used on social media, Wilson has not been executed, and there is currently no publicly announced execution date for him. His capital appeal has continued through the Florida courts. The Florida Supreme Court heard oral arguments in his case in February 2026, with his attorneys preserving arguments for possible further review.

Meanwhile, Florida has carried out a large number of executions during 2026, making the state’s d3ath-row system the subject of renewed national attention. Several prisoners have already been executed this year, while additional executions have been scheduled for September. Wilson, however, is not among those with a publicly announced execution date.
For Wilson, the reality is therefore less about an imminent “final chapter” and more about remaining inside Florida’s high-security prison system while the legal process continues. His case remains active, and the uncertainty surrounding what comes next has continued to fuel intense interest online.
The nickname “ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool K!ller” has also contributed to the unusual level of attention surrounding the case, because of Wilson’s shared name with the fictional Marvel character. But behind the viral nickname is a real criminal case involving two victims, two d3ath sentences and an ongoing legal process.
