DOLLY PARTON NEVER BECAME A MOTHER — BUT THE REASON SHE GAVE YEARS AGO FEELS EVEN MORE MOVING AFTER HER DEATH AT 80

Many might be wondering if Dolly Parton had any children.

If you did not see the news, the country music legend pᴀssed away at the age of 80 on Tuesday (August 25).
Dolly and her husband Carl Dean did not have any kids together.
If you didn’t know, Dolly and Carl met outside of the Wishy Washy Laundromat the day she moved to Nashville at 18.
They married two years later on May 30, 1966 in a small ceremony.
She made an appearance on a 2020 episode of Apple TV+’s The Oprah Conversation where she spoke on this topic.
“Since I had no kids, and my husband was pretty independent, I had freedom.
So I think a big part of my whole success is the fact that I was free to work,” she said.
“I didn’t have children because I believed that God didn’t mean for me to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine, so I could do things like Imagination Library, because if I hadn’t had the freedom to work, I wouldn’t have done all the things I’ve done.
I wouldn’t be in a position to do all of the things I’m doing now,” she added.
By the way, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income.
