💔🤰 DOCTORS THOUGHT POPPY’S SYMPTOMS WERE JUST PREGNANCY — THEN A LUMP IN HER NOSE REVEALED RARE CANCER 💙✨
When Poppy became pregnant, she expected the usual aches, tiredness and discomfort that can come with carrying a baby.

What she never expected was to discover that some of the symptoms she was experiencing were actually warning signs of a rare cancer. 💔

Her journey began with severe headaches unlike anything she had experienced before.

Then she noticed a lump developing along her jaw.

At first, Poppy believed the problem might be connected to a wisdom tooth. She had the tooth removed, hoping that would solve everything.

But the symptoms didn’t disappear.

💔🤰 THE SYMPTOMS KEPT GETTING WORSE
Poppy began suffering from frequent nosebleeds, overwhelming fatigue and persistent headaches.

Because she was pregnant, however, many of these symptoms were initially considered to be normal pregnancy-related changes.

Poppy knew something wasn’t right.

But getting someone to take her concerns seriously became a struggle. 😢

Then she noticed something else.

A small spot had appeared inside her nose.

Instead of disappearing, it continued to grow.

Eventually, the growth became large enough to partially block her airway. 🏥💔

Doctors initially struggled to determine exactly what they were dealing with.

Then a biopsy finally provided the answer.

It was atypical Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. 💔

🥹💙 DIAGNOSIS BROUGHT AN UNEXPECTED SENSE OF RELIEF
Poppy was 34 weeks pregnant when she finally received her diagnosis.

The news was devastating.

She was facing cancer at the same time she was preparing to welcome her baby into the world.

Yet strangely, the diagnosis also brought her a sense of relief.

For weeks, she had felt as though people were dismissing her concerns.

Now she finally knew there was a reason for everything she had been experiencing.

She wasn’t imagining it.

She wasn’t simply being overly worried.

Something really was wrong. 💔

🏥💙 LEARNING HOW TO FACE THE UNEXPECTED
After the diagnosis, Poppy entered an intense period of treatment.

At first, even accepting the diagnosis was incredibly difficult.

She struggled to listen to other people’s stories because she was still trying to understand her own.

There were days when she didn’t even want to leave her room unless her mum or partner was beside her. 🥹

Cancer had suddenly changed almost every part of her life.

But slowly, something began to shift.

🌷✨ OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE GAVE HER HOPE
Poppy received support from the Teenage Cancer Trust, including a Youth Support Coordinator named Ella and a nurse named Sam.

Their support helped her gradually regain confidence during an incredibly frightening period.

Then she attended a social evening organized by the charity.

For the first time, she stepped outside her room and met other young people who were also facing serious illnesses.

What she saw surprised her.

They were still living.

Still laughing.

Still finding ways to enjoy their lives despite everything they were going through. 💙

And seeing their strength gave Poppy something she desperately needed:

hope. 🌈

💗🤰 A MOTHER FACING CANCER AND MOTHERHOOD AT ONCE
Poppy’s story is especially heartbreaking because her cancer journey unfolded during pregnancy.

She wasn’t only thinking about herself.

She was preparing to become a mother while simultaneously trying to understand a diagnosis that could change her entire future.

Every headache had once seemed like part of pregnancy.

Every nosebleed had been another frightening symptom.

And the small growth inside her nose had become the clue that finally revealed what was really happening.

Her story shows why persistent or unusual symptoms deserve attention — even when they occur during pregnancy, when many physical changes can easily be attributed to carrying a baby. 💙

🕊️💗 FINDING STRENGTH IN THE PEOPLE AROUND HER
Looking back, Poppy says there is never a good time to face something as serious as cancer.

But she remains deeply grateful for the people who supported her.

The medical team.

Her family.

Her partner.

And the people from Teenage Cancer Trust who helped her realize that she wasn’t alone. ❤️

Sometimes, strength doesn’t appear all at once.

Sometimes it comes slowly.

Through one conversation.

One supportive person.

One reason to leave the bedroom.

One moment of seeing someone else continue living despite their own challenges.

And eventually, one day at a time, Poppy began finding her own strength again. 🌷✨

💙🌈 HER STORY IS ABOUT MORE THAN A DIAGNOSIS
Poppy’s journey began with symptoms that seemed easy to explain away.

Pregnancy.

A wisdom tooth.

Fatigue.

Headaches.

But eventually, a small growth inside her nose revealed something far more serious.

Her diagnosis changed everything.

Yet it also reminded her of something important:

She knew her own body.

She knew when something didn’t feel right.

And she kept pushing for answers until she finally received them. 💗

Her journey was frightening and unexpected, but the support she received helped her begin looking beyond the diagnosis.

She saw other young people living through difficult circumstances and realized that cancer did not have to erase every part of her life.

There could still be hope.

There could still be connection.

There could still be a future worth fighting for. 🌈💙

Poppy was 34 weeks pregnant when she finally learned the truth about her symptoms.

What began with headaches and a small lump became a life-changing cancer journey — but along the way, she discovered something equally powerful: sometimes, hope begins when you realize you are not facing the battle alone. 💙🤰✨
