INSIDE THE OHIO “HOUSE OF HORRORS”: WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE 16 CHILDREN AND THE SIDERS FAMILY

The case surrounding 16 children discovered in a Hamden, Ohio, home has become one of the most disturbing child-welfare investigations in the state this year.
On June 30, 2026, authorities entered the Siders family’s home and found 16 children ranging from about 18 months to 18 years old. Officials said the children were living in severely overcrowded and unsanitary conditions, with many largely confined to a single small room. Several children required medical attention, and two were taken to trauma centers.
