SHE ONCE FOUGHT CANCER AS A CHILD — YEARS LATER, SHE RETURNED TO THE SAME HOSPITAL AS A NURSE

When Montana Brown was a toddler, her life suddenly became centered around hospitals, doctors and treatment after she was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
She spent roughly a year receiving treatment at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Eventually, Montana reached remission and was able to return to many of the ordinary experiences of childhood.
But years later, at just 15, she faced another difficult chapter when the cancer returned.
