Five Years Later, Kamarie Holland Case Reaches Its Final Legal Chapter 🕊️💔

A case that deeply affected communities across Georgia and Alabama reached its final legal chapter Thursday, August 13, 2026, when Alabama carried out the sentence against Jeremy Tremaine Williams, who had been convicted in connection with the 2021 killing of five-year-old Kamarie Holland.

Williams, 42, was pronounced ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at 6:16 p.m. CDT following a lethal injection at an Alabama prison. His sentence followed convictions on four counts of capital murder related to Kamarie’s kidnapping, abuse and killing.

For Kamarie’s family, the legal process has now ended. But no courtroom decision can restore the energetic little girl remembered for her love of princesses, laughter and dressing up. 👑💗

The case began before sunrise on December 13, 2021, when Kamarie was reported missing from a home on Bowman Street in Columbus, Georgia. What followed was an urgent search involving investigators on both sides of the Georgia-Alabama border.

Authorities eventually focused their search on a vacant duplex in Phenix City, Alabama. Kamarie was found beneath a tarp in the basement later that day. Investigators subsequently determined that she had suffered severe abuse before her death.

Williams quickly became a central figure in the investigation. At the time, he was 37 and was among the final people known to have been with Kamarie.

Investigators searched property ᴀssociated with Williams in Columbus and recovered items they believed were connected to the child’s disappearance. Williams was later located at a Phenix City motel and taken into custody while the search continued.

Authorities also said Williams’ wife provided information about the duplex where she believed Kamarie might have been harmed. Officers went to the property and made the discovery that brought the missing-child investigation to a tragic conclusion.

The circumstances surrounding Kamarie’s custody added another troubling dimension to the case. Her father reportedly held sole legal custody, while her mother, Kristy Marie Siple, was subject to a court order limiting contact with the child. Despite that order, Kamarie had been left in her mother’s care shortly before she disappeared.

Investigators said Williams knew Siple and that the pair had an existing relationship involving drug use and other criminal activity. Authorities further alleged that an arrangement allowed Williams access to Kamarie in exchange for money, raising allegations involving exploitation and human trafficking.

After years of court proceedings and legal review, Williams’ sentence was carried out Thursday.

For those who followed the case, however, the final legal chapter does not erase the grief surrounding Kamarie’s story.

She was only five years old.
