What should have been the beginning of a simple family life became the start of an extraordinary journey for Anastasia and Matthew Wong when their son Damien was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome, a rare congenital condition.

The condition affected Damien before birth, leaving him facing several significant challenges from the moment he entered the world. He was born blind and with a cleft lip and palate, a deformed nose, and webbed fingers.
