Hannah Sachs from Cincinnati, Ohio, has shared the remarkable story of her son Liam, whose journey began with an unexpected discovery during pregnancy.

At her 22-week ultrasound, doctors identified an abnormality and suspected that Liam had an encephalocele, a rare birth defect in which brain tissue and its surrounding membranes can protrude through an opening in the skull.

The news left Hannah terrified about her baby’s future, and she remained under close medical observation for the rest of her pregnancy.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his diagnosis, Liam has continued to show remarkable determination and a joyful spirit. His mother says she would not change him for the world, describing him as an inspiration to everyone around him.
