💔🕊️ 17-Year-Old Skyler Bradford’s Family Demands Answers as Florida Investigation Continues

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA — A grieving mother is demanding answers after her 17-year-old daughter, Skyler Ley’Shea Bradford, was found critically injured at a Florida apartment and later pᴀssed away.

The circumstances surrounding Skyler’s final moments remain under investigation, while conflicting accounts have raised questions for her family.

According to authorities, deputies responded on July 29, 2026, to an apartment complex near Old Cheney Highway and Baldwin Park after Skyler was found with a serious gunsH๏τ wound to the head.

She was transported to a hospital but later pᴀssed away.

Skyler’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Jehovah Mitchell, reportedly told investigators that the teenager had harmed herself following an argument related to alleged infidelity.

However, Skyler’s mother, Rodnesha Speed, strongly disputes that account.

She remembers her daughter as a happy, ambitious young woman who had graduated from high school early and was preparing to pursue college.

For Speed, the circumstances surrounding her daughter’s final moments do not match the daughter she knew.

Questions have also emerged because investigators say Mitchell admitted to discarding the firearm following the incident. The firearm has not been recovered.

Mitchell was subsequently arrested on an evidence-tampering charge.

Authorities also reportedly found signs inside the apartment that may indicate a struggle. A neighbor told investigators they heard a scream around the time of the incident.

Those details have added to the uncertainty surrounding what happened.

Still, authorities have not announced charges against anyone in connection with Skyler’s pᴀssing itself, and the investigation remains active.

The distinction is important as detectives continue working to establish what occurred inside the apartment and determine whether the available evidence supports any particular explanation.

For Skyler’s mother, however, the investigation is about more than evidence.

It is about understanding what happened to her daughter.

Skyler was just 17, with her future ahead of her. Her family remembers a young woman who had already accomplished an important milestone by graduating high school early and was preparing to begin the next chapter of her life. 🎓💔

Instead, her loved ones are now left with grief, questions, and a search for answers.

Speed is asking for justice and wants investigators to continue examining every detail surrounding her daughter’s pᴀssing.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.

As authorities work to piece together the events of July 29, Skyler’s family is asking the public to remember her not simply as the teenager at the center of an investigation, but as a daughter with dreams, plans, and a future she was preparing to build.

She was only 17.

Her family now wants the truth about what happened to her. 🕊️💔
