💔🕊️ Seven Months After Asking for Prayers, Saleena Returns With Heartbreaking News About Her Baby Brother

Seven months ago, Saleena reached out to strangers with one desperate request: please pray for her baby brother.

She was hoping those prayers would help 25-year-old Zackery William West through one of the most difficult health battles of his life.

Today, Saleena returned with words no sister should ever have to write.

“My heart is so broken. He was my baby. He was my everything. My baby’s gone.”

Zack, from Crosby, Texas, had previously faced a serious health crisis after suffering a collapsed lung and being diagnosed with severe bullous lung disease.

Earlier this year, his story was shared publicly in the hope that people would understand what he was going through and become more aware of the dangers ᴀssociated with vaping.

His family had fought through that difficult chapter together.

But months later, they were faced with another devastating turn.

According to Saleena, Zack pᴀssed away following a motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 2.

The news left his family struggling to process a loss they never expected to face so soon.

“Never ever in a million years did I think I would have to be making one of these for my baby brother,” Saleena wrote.

She continued with a message that captured just how deeply she loved him:

“My baby. My baby brother. My love. I’ll miss you forever and ever, my baby.” 💔

Saleena shared that Zack had recently developed a love for riding motorcycles. But as she remembers her younger brother, she wants people to see far beyond the circumstances surrounding his final moments.

She wants them to remember the person he was.

“If you knew Zack, he was the MOST respectful kid you would ever meet,” she wrote.

“To know him was to love him.”

Those words paint a picture of a young man remembered not simply for the challenges he faced, but for the kindness and respect he showed others. ❤️

Now, as Zack’s family prepares to say goodbye, Saleena says they are leaning on the same faith that helped carry them through his health struggle earlier this year.

“But we trust God,” she shared.

For a family already familiar with uncertainty, the loss of Zack brings an entirely different kind of pain.

Yet amid the heartbreak, they are holding onto memories of the brother, son, friend, and loved one who meant so much to them.

If you followed Zack’s journey earlier this year, his family is asking for your prayers once again.

Please keep Saleena, Zack’s family, and everyone who loved him in your thoughts. 🙏🕊️

And if you feel led, leave his family a message today.

Sometimes, knowing that others remember — and that they are not facing their grief alone — can mean more than words can express.

The people who prayed for Zack seven months ago can now stand beside his family in remembrance. 💙
