Daelyn suffered severe third-degree burns, among the most serious types of burn injuries, requiring immediate medical attention. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where doctors quickly determined he needed specialized burn care.

He was then airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where a team of specialists immediately began treatment.

For Daelyn’s family, the helicopter flight marked the beginning of an emotional journey filled with uncertainty, fear, and hope.
