Baby Noor Nunez was born healthy, and at first, everything seemed perfectly normal. 💕

By the time Noor was one year old, the hemangioma had grown to nearly 2.5 centimeters, covering one of her eyes and obstructing her vision. 👁️💔

Feeling they had run out of options, Noor’s parents began searching for specialists around the world. Their search eventually led them to Dr. Gregory Levitin, a vascular birthmark specialist at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.

After reviewing Noor’s condition, Dr. Levitin urged the family to bring her to New York as soon as possible.

“At her current condition, surgery was the only real solution,” her father recalled the doctor saying.

“There is no textbook for treating a hemangioma,” he said. “Every patient is different.”

The delicate surgery lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes. Although a small portion of the hemangioma had to remain, Dr. Levitin successfully removed the large protruding mᴀss that had blocked Noor’s vision. ❤️

“Before, everyone immediately noticed the growth,” her father said. “Now, when people see Noor, they only notice a small red mark, and her skin is completely flat.” 😊
