Doctors Gave Her a “Zero Percent” Chance of Survival—But Baby Armani Defied Every Expectation 💙👶

Before she was even born, doctors told Chelsey Milby that her unborn daughter had virtually no chance of surviving. Yet against every expectation, baby Armani entered the world crying—a moment her family still describes as nothing short of miraculous.
Armani was diagnosed during pregnancy with lymphangioma, a rare condition that causes abnormal growths in the lymphatic system. The disorder led to significant swelling in her chest and arms, giving her the appearance of a tiny bodybuilder and earning her the affectionate nickname “Mini Hulk.”
The diagnosis came at just 17 weeks of pregnancy, leaving Chelsey devastated.

“I cried every day,” she recalled. “I kept asking God why.”
As Armani continued to grow, the pregnancy became increasingly difficult. The excess fluid caused Chelsey’s abdomen to expand dramatically, and strangers often ᴀssumed she was carrying triplets. Her health deteriorated rapidly, making it difficult to sleep, breathe, or carry out everyday activities.
At 33 weeks, doctors decided it was no longer safe to continue the pregnancy and delivered Armani by cesarean section.
The delivery room was filled with uncertainty.
Despite being told she had virtually no chance of survival, Armani surprised everyone the moment she let out her first cry.

“Everyone in the room became emotional,” Chelsey remembered. “No one knew what was going to happen.”
Her father, Blake, waited anxiously outside the operating room, praying for his daughter while pacing the hallway.
After birth, Armani was transferred to a specialized children’s hospital, where she spent three months receiving expert medical care. During that time, her family faced countless emotional challenges, including Chelsey’s struggle with postpartum depression, while remaining focused on helping their little girl recover.
Today, Armani continues to make encouraging progress. She has reached important developmental milestones, including learning to roll over and beginning to say “mama.” Her cheerful personality and determination have brought hope to everyone around her.

Doctors have planned additional surgeries to remove abnormal lymphatic tissue, improve fluid drainage, and gradually reduce the swelling in her arms and chest. She may also receive sclerotherapy, a treatment designed to shrink the affected lymphatic vessels.
Although more procedures lie ahead, Chelsey remains filled with graтιтude.
After some of the excess fluid was successfully drained, she began affectionately calling Armani her “little squishy baby.”
Looking back, the family knows their journey has been anything but easy. Yet the little girl who was once given almost no hope has continued to surprise everyone with her strength, resilience, and joyful spirit.
For Chelsey and Blake, Armani is more than a medical miracle—she is their little superhero, proving every day that hope can exist even in the face of the most impossible odds.
