According to authorities, Angelique left Meinke Marina in Jerusalem Township, Ohio, on the evening of July 1 with Kristen Marie Gerrie, 41, and Jonathan Ciha, 38, for what was expected to be a recreational trip on the lake.

Later that night, emergency responders were notified after the outing took a tragic turn.

Officials reported that Gerrie was able to make it safely to shore, while Ciha was later found in the water the following morning by a pᴀssing boater near the marina. The Lucas County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Ciha had drowned.
