💔🕊️ Family of Teen Addison Colomer Speaks Out as Investigation Continues Nearly Nine Months Later
MONTFORT, Wisconsin — Nearly nine months after 17-year-old Addison “Addi” Colomer was found with a g*nsH๏τ wound inside a home in Montfort, her family is speaking publicly for the first time, hoping renewed attention will help uncover the truth.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence on West Main Street on October 1, 2025, after receiving a report of a person suffering from a g*nsH๏τ injury. The Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory processed the home for evidence, and investigators say the case remains active.
The Grant County Coroner has classified Addison’s manner of pᴀssing as undetermined, leaving many unanswered questions for those who knew and loved her.
For Addi’s mother, Jena Ginter, memories of her daughter remain filled with warmth and joy.
“She was a great person,” Ginter said. “She loved being outside, loved hiking, loved tanning, and she would stop to smell everything. She had the best soul.”
The family explained that investigators initially asked them not to discuss the case publicly while evidence was being gathered. After recently meeting with the district attorney, they were told they could begin sharing their story in hopes that someone with information would come forward.
“I just want people to know, if they know something, say something,” Ginter said. “We need answers for Addison because we still don’t have all the answers.”
Addi’s sisters, Kamerynn and Skyler Colomer, say they want people to remember who she was beyond the ongoing investigation.
They describe Addi as compᴀssionate, thoughtful, and someone who could brighten another person’s day simply by being there.
“She definitely knew how to make people feel better when they were upset,” Kamerynn recalled.
Her family says Addi dreamed of becoming either a cosmetologist or a marine biologist, reflecting both her creativity and her love of nature. Skyler said some of her favorite memories were the quiet moments they spent together, even when no words needed to be spoken.
Since Addi’s pᴀssing, her half-sister, Madelyn Luna, has dedicated herself to learning Wisconsin’s public records process. She has reviewed more than 1,000 pages of investigative documents while searching for answers.
“It is my life’s mission now to figure this out,” Luna said. “I will keep working on this until answers are found.”
Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information about the events surrounding Addison Colomer’s final hours to contact investigators. Her family believes that even the smallest detail—whether a conversation, message, or observation—could help provide the answers they have been seeking for months.
While the investigation continues, Addi’s loved ones hope she will be remembered for her kindness, adventurous spirit, and the bright future she dreamed of building, rather than the unanswered questions surrounding her pᴀssing.
