💔🔥 Ohio Community Holds Emotional Vigil After Three Lives Are Lost in Devastating Motel Fire 🕯️

WOOSTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An Ohio community is mourning after a devastating early morning fire at an Econo Lodge claimed the lives of three people, prompting an outpouring of grief and support from friends, co-workers, and neighbors.

The Wooster Township Fire Department responded shortly after 1:30 a.m. on July 1 following multiple emergency calls reporting a rapidly spreading fire at the motel. According to Fire Chief Dallas Terrell, dispatchers advised responding crews that several people were trapped inside as flames engulfed one of the H๏τel buildings.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire already burning through multiple rooms and extending into the roof. Despite repeated rescue attempts under extremely dangerous conditions, crews were unable to reach the victims.

“It’s a horrible tragedy,” Terrell said, expressing sympathy for the families while praising firefighters who risked their lives during the emergency. One firefighter suffered minor burns while battling the blaze.

The Wayne County Coroner’s Office later identified the victims as Hiteshkumar Suthar, Hinaben Suthar, and Isha Suthar.

According to H๏τel employee April Graser, at least two of the victims worked at the Econo Lodge. She recalled receiving a heartbreaking phone call from one of the trapped individuals after emergency services had already been contacted.

“I called 911, and they’re on their way,” Graser remembered telling the caller before the connection was suddenly lost.

The fire, which took approximately one hour to bring under control, destroyed one of the motel’s three buildings while neighboring structures remained largely intact. Officials said every other guest was able to evacuate safely.

Guest Kiera Curry described the terrifying moments when officers rushed through the property waking sleeping guests. She said thick smoke, intense heat, and fears of structural damage made escaping incredibly frightening.

“My heart goes out for the people that died,” Curry said as she reflected on the tragedy. Like many displaced guests, she has since been relocated to temporary accommodations arranged by the motel.

In the days following the fire, members of the community have gathered to honor the victims with memorials, flowers, candles, and prayer vigils. Co-workers at a local McDonald’s also held a heartfelt vigil to remember one of the victims, celebrating a life that touched many through kindness and hard work.

Investigators continue examining the cause of the fire, including whether any equipment failures or additional safety concerns played a role. Officials are also reviewing fire safety systems and emergency procedures as part of the ongoing investigation.

As the investigation continues, the Wooster community remains united in remembering three lives lost too soon while offering comfort and support to the families, survivors, first responders, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
