KYLE BEVAN KILLED IN PRISON CELL ATTACK AT HMP WAKEFIELD AS INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

A major security incident at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire has led to the death of inmate Kyle Bevan following an attack inside his prison cell, authorities have confirmed.
According to reports presented during court proceedings, Bevan was ᴀssaulted by three fellow inmates inside the maximum-security facility. The attack is believed to have taken place within a short timeframe, with prison staff later discovering his body inside the cell.
Bevan had been serving a life sentence for the murder of two-year-old Lola James, a case that previously drew significant public attention across the United Kingdom due to the severity of the child’s injuries.
The three inmates accused of carrying out the attack were already serving sentences for serious violent offences. Court testimony alleged that the incident involved coordinated action inside Bevan’s cell, after which the perpetrators returned to their units.

Following the incident, prison authorities and law enforcement launched an investigation into how the attack occurred within a high-security environment. Officials are reviewing surveillance footage, prison logs, and internal procedures to determine whether any security failures contributed to the event.
HMP Wakefield, one of the UK’s most secure prisons, houses some of the country’s most serious offenders. Incidents of violence within such facilities are rare but have prompted ongoing discussion about inmate segregation, monitoring, and prison safety protocols.
Authorities have not released further operational details while the investigation is ongoing.
