When Jax’s mother, Lydia, told her son it was time for a hair trim in Louisville, Kentucky, Jax enthusiastically proposed a plan to completely shave his head.

He explained that if he and Reddy had matching hair, their preschool teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart, completely overlooking the obvious physical fact that Jax is white and Reddy is Black.

When the boys arrived at school with their identical fresh cuts, their preschool teacher joyfully played along with the prank, pretending to confuse the two energetic best friends all day long.
