A police investigation is underway in Pará state, Brazil, after a woman died during a divorce-related meeting at a law office in the municipality of Ourilândia do Norte.
The victim, identified as 41-year-old Icicléia Alves Veloso, had reportedly been meeting her estranged husband, former mayor Romildo Veloso e Silva, to finalize legal documents related to their separation.
According to preliminary reports from authorities, the meeting took place in a private room at a legal office. Shortly after the lawyer left the room, gunsH๏τs were heard.

When emergency responders arrived, Icicléia was found critically injured and still showing signs of life. She was taken to hospital but later died from severe head injuries. Her husband was also found ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at the scene.
