JJ Redick lost his rental home in the devastating Pacific Palisades fire this week.
The Lakers head coach confirmed when speaking to reporters on Friday that the property that his family was renting was burned down.
Similar to thousands of people in the Los Angeles metro area, Redick’s family was forced to evacuate from their home Tuesday.
Redick returned to the Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, only to see the entire neighborhood destroyed from the wildfires.
“I was not prepared for what I saw,” Redick said. “It’s complete devastation and destruction. I had to go kind of a different way to the house, but I went through most of the village and it’s all gone. I don’t think you can ever prepare yourself for something like that.
