Flight 914 made headlines when it unexpectedly landed in Venezuela after 37 years of being presumed missing since its departure from New York.

.

The story of Flight 914, which reportedly disappeared in 1955 and reappeared in 1992 in Venezuela, is one of the most famous urban legends in aviation history. According to the legend, Eastern Airlines Flight 914 took off from New York in 1955 with 57 pᴀssengers and crew on board but then vanished without a trace.

Thirty-seven years later, in 1992, the same flight reappeared and landed in Caracas, Venezuela, with all the pᴀssengers and crew appearing not to have aged a day since the disappearance. The authorities were shocked by the mysterious reappearance of the flight and its occupants, who claimed to have no memory of the missing years.

However, it’s essential to note that this story is purely a work of fiction and has no basis in reality. There is no record of such an event ever occurring in aviation history. While urban legends like these can capture the public’s imagination, it’s crucial to separate fact from fiction and not take them as truth.
