Emma Watson Is Still Dressing Like a Princess

Emma Watson may no longer be playing a Disney princess, but that doesn’t mean she has to stop dressing like one. Watson was the belle of the ball at the premiere for her film The Circle on Wednesday night in Paris, giving an update to the classic princess ball gown in custom Miu Miu. The strappy silk gown was simple yet intricate with its floral pattern, crystal embellishments, and wide, flowing skirt.

Watson has come to be known for her ethical choices in wardrobe. Before embarking on her press tour for Beauty and the Beast in February, she and her stylist, Sarah Slutsky, created an Instagram account with a fitting тιтle: The Press Tour.

The account tracked not only everything Watson wore while promoting the film, but also provided detailed breakdowns of how the clothing was environmentally friendly. Of course, the Miu Miu gown is no different. The fabric, dyeing, printing, and embroidery were all done locally in Italy.

Every fine detail in Watson’s look on Wednesday was carefully considered. Her shoes were crafted by Santoni, which also runs a school where people can learn the art of cobbling. Azlee, which created her jewels, donates some of its profits to a different ocean-related cause each season.

Even Watson’s makeup was eco-friendly, as she used an organic concealer by RMS Beauty and a “Certified Natural Eyeliner Pencil in Brown” by Antonym Cosmetics, among a handful of other cruelty-free products.
