Tonight, Zayden’s family is asking for extra prayers as their 6-year-old faces an important and understandably frightening medical appointment.

After his appointment on Friday, Zayden’s oncologist personally contacted an eye oncology team and was able to arrange a consultation for the very next day — much sooner than the family had originally expected.

His family is incredibly grateful that Zayden doesn’t have to wait until October to be seen.

But that quicker appointment also carries a difficult reality.

When doctors move this quickly, parents naturally begin to worry about what they may find.

For Zayden’s family, the hours leading up to the consultation are filled with uncertainty, fear and hope. They don’t yet have all the answers, and they are simply trying to take everything one step at a time.

Right now, they are asking their community to stand with them through prayer.
