Bad injury luck continues to invade the Magic’s 2024-25 season.
Add Jalen Suggs to the list.
Suggs suffered what looked to be a non-contact injury — that the team later called back spasms — in Friday’s 106-97 win over the Raptors, requiring him to leave in a wheelchair with over three minutes left in the second quarter.
“Back spasms is what it is right now,” Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley told reporters after the victor. “We’re going to get a better look at him tomorrow.”
Suggs, an all-world perimeter defender, was attempting to play the pᴀssing lanes and record a steal but went down, favoring his lower backside.
The Magic were already without Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner (oblique injuries), while Mo Wagner was lost for the season in December after he tore an ACL.
