For Oliwier’s family, everything changed when their little boy was just 7 months old. 👶💔

He had been developing normally. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, his tiny body began to stiffen. His hands тιԍнтened into little fists, and his parents could barely move him.

Desperate for answers, they sought specialist care.

After an MRI and further examinations, they received a devastating diagnosis: leukodystrophy, a rare and progressive condition affecting the brain’s white matter. 🧠💔

Doctors explained that there is currently no cure and that Oliwier’s condition could severely limit his life expectancy.

In an instant, his parents’ hopes and dreams for their little boy changed.

Today, Oliwier cannot walk, sit, or speak, and he cannot eat independently. He receives nutrition through a PEG tube and communicates in small, precious ways. ❤️‍🩹

Sometimes, a familiar word brings a response.

Sometimes, he gives his family the gentlest smile.

And to his parents, those moments mean everything. 🥹💙

When Oliwier becomes frightened or overwhelmed, his body can suddenly stiffen, sometimes making it difficult for him to breathe. His parents have learned to respond quickly, using the medical equipment they have at home and doing everything they can to keep their son safe and comfortable. 🙏🏥

He has also developed epilepsy, with episodes occurring several times a week, adding yet another challenge to an already difficult journey.

Because his medical needs continue to grow, the family now receives support from a home hospice team. ❤️‍🩹

But Oliwier is not facing this journey alone.

He has two siblings who adore him. To them, he isn’t defined by a diagnosis or by what he can or cannot do.

He is simply their little brother. 💕👦👧

They want to be near him, love him, and make every moment together count.

And that’s exactly what his parents are trying to do.
