🚨 LORRAINE KELLY’S SECRET HEALTH BATTLE LEAVES FANS COMPLETELY STUNNED 😢💔

Lorraine Kelly has spoken for the first time about the harrowing health scare that led to her emergency surgery last year. The ITV star, 65, revealed that what started as a routine flight home from India turned into a terrifying ordeal.
“I was coming back from India. On the flight I had terrible, terrible pain — an ovarian cyst had burst,” Lorraine told viewers during a revealing interview on her breakfast show Lorraine. The discomfort, she added, was so severe that even her usual stoicism couldn’t mask it.
Following scans, doctors recommended the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes. “It looked like there was a dodgy ovary, so it was best to get it out completely,” Lorraine explained.
Dr Hilary Jones, who appeared alongside Lorraine during the segment, clarified the risks: “After the menopause, those cysts are usually benign, but they can become quite large and have the potential to turn malignant. As a precaution, removing the ovaries and fallopian tubes was the safest option.”

Thankfully, Lorraine’s hospital stay was brief. “I only stayed in for one night,” she said. At home, her husband Steve took over all household tasks while Lorraine recovered. She noted she had to take things easy, managing fatigue and adjusting to new hormone treatments. “Normally, I’m running around doing a lot, so I need to take it a little bit easier. But I am so glad to be back,” she said.
Lorraine also reflected on the emotional side of the surgery. “Because of my age, I’m nearly 66, obviously the baby ship has sailed, so I wasn’t emotional,” she said. However, balancing her hormones post-surgery has required care and attention.
From sudden pain on a plane to life-changing surgery, Lorraine Kelly’s story is a reminder of how quickly health concerns can strike — even for those in the public eye.
