During Lindsay Clancy’s trial, childhood friend Amy Bevins testified about visiting Lindsay at a rehabilitation center in March 2023, roughly two months after the deaths of Lindsay’s three children.

According to Bevins, the visit was relatively ordinary. They talked casually and played Uno, but the conversation did not include Lindsay’s children or the events surrounding their deaths. Bevins told the court that she had been specifically advised by Lindsay’s sister not to bring up the subject.

That detail has drawn renewed attention because the trial is heavily focused on Lindsay’s mental state before and after the incident. Her defense argues that she was experiencing severe postpartum mental illness, while prosecutors dispute that explanation.

The visit itself does not establish what Lindsay was thinking or feeling at the time. But the testimony offers another glimpse into how difficult and complicated those early months were for everyone around her.
