After a challenging stretch, Scarlett’s family has shared a heartfelt update — and there is still plenty of hope surrounding this brave little girl. 🌷

It has been a little while since the last update on sweet Scarlett, and her family recently decided it was time to let everyone know how she has been doing.

The past few weeks have brought some new challenges. Doctors are carefully monitoring swelling, while Scarlett’s family continues working through different wound-care treatments in hopes of helping her healing process move forward.

One of the newer ointments unfortunately caused a reaction, so her family made the decision to stop using it and return to the treatment that Scarlett had previously tolerated better. She has also started antibiotics as doctors continue keeping a close eye on the swelling and her overall condition. 🩷

For her family, moments like these can be difficult. Recovery does not always happen in a straight line, and sometimes progress means taking a step back, adjusting treatment, and patiently waiting for the next sign of improvement.

Still, there is one important piece of good news they want everyone to remember:

Some days are harder than others. There are appointments, treatments, concerns, and moments when the road ahead feels uncertain. But Scarlett continues to move forward, one day at a time and one step at a time.

Soon, she will return to see her surgeon for another important checkup. Her medical team will continue evaluating her healing, including the area around her G-tube site, while determining the best way to support her recovery in the days ahead.
