Months after her mother disappeared from her Arizona home, Today anchor Savannah Guthrie is once again asking the public for help.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on February 1, 2026, after she disappeared from her home in the Tucson area. Investigators have been treating the case as a suspected kidnapping, and the FBI has remained involved in the search.

💔 “SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING”

Savannah and her family have repeatedly urged anyone who may have seen something unusual around the time Nancy disappeared to come forward.

The family has specifically asked people to review security-camera footage, messages, notes and anything they may remember from the hours surrounding January 31 and the early morning of February 1.

Their message has remained painfully simple:

Someone may have information that could help bring answers.

🔎 THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES

Authorities have examined surveillance footage and other forensic evidence while continuing to follow tips.

Earlier in the investigation, investigators received ransom-related messages connected to Nancy’s disappearance. Authorities later publicly released two notes in an effort to generate new leads, particularly because investigators believed the writing style and wording might be recognizable to someone who knew the author.

However, the status of those messages has been complicated by later reporting that an FBI official said investigators believed the ransom notes were not genuine. Because of these conflicting developments, claims contained in the notes should not be treated as established facts about Nancy’s fate.

🕊️ A FAMILY STILL WAITING

For Savannah and her siblings, the uncertainty has been devastating.

They have continued searching for information while holding onto hope for answers about what happened to their mother.

In July, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said investigators were still actively pursuing leads and that he remained hopeful the case could eventually be resolved. He said forensic teams were continuing to examine DNA evidence from multiple laboratories.

The family is also offering a $1 million reward for information that helps lead investigators to Nancy.

Nancy is more than a missing-person case.

She is a mother, grandmother and beloved member of a family that has spent months waiting for answers.
