A California family is facing unimaginable grief after 6-year-old Preston El Guindy d#ied following a tragic accident outside his family’s home near Temecula.

Authorities said the incident happened on a Saturday evening when Preston was outside near the family’s driveway. His father, Tarik El Guindy, was backing a vehicle out of the driveway when the accident occurred. Preston was seriously injured and later d#ied at a hospital.

REMEMBERING A LITTLE BOY

Preston was remembered by his family as a joyful child whose smile brought happiness to the people around him.

A fundraising page created to help the family described him as a boy who loved baseball and whose presence brought joy to those who knew him. His parents and his sister, Scarlett, are now facing the unimaginable loss of their son and brother.

For a family, home is supposed to be a place of safety, memories and childhood moments.

Instead, one heartbreaking accident has changed this family forever.

POLICE SAY IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT

California Highway Patrol officials said the circumstances currently point to an accident and that investigators have not found indications of foul play.

Authorities are continuing to review available evidence as they work to establish exactly what happened.

A FAMILY LEFT TO GRIEVE

There are no easy words for the loss of a 6-year-old child.

Preston’s life was only beginning. He should have had years ahead of him filled with school days, baseball games, family memories and ordinary childhood moments.

Instead, his family is left holding onto those memories while learning how to live with a loss no parent ever expects to face.
