🥹🙏 AFTER A YEAR OF CANCER TREATMENT, BARRETT BARNES RECEIVES THE NEWS EVERY FAMILY HOPES FOR

For parents of children battling cancer, few days are more stressful than scan day. For Barrett Barnes and his family, this time, the waiting ended with wonderful news: his latest scans were clear. 💙🙏

Scan day can bring a flood of emotions.

There are nerves, fear, uncertainty, and the agonizing wait for doctors to reveal what the latest images show.

For families who have spent months or years fighting childhood cancer, those moments can feel overwhelming.

Barrett Barnes’ family knows that feeling all too well.

The young boy from Vestavia Hills, Alabama, has been battling ATRT, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

His parents, Matt and Calah Barnes, spent nearly a year in Memphis while Barrett received extensive treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Throughout 2025, Barrett faced an enormous amount of treatment.

And through it all, his family continued to stand beside him.

Now, 2026 has brought a new reason to hope. ❤️

🙏 THE NEWS THEY WERE WAITING FOR

Yesterday was another scan day for Barrett.

For his family, it was undoubtedly another difficult wait.

Then came the news they had been praying for.

The scans were clear. 🥹🎉

Barrett’s mother, Calah, shared the joyful update after meeting with his oncologist.

According to Calah, the doctor was extremely pleased with Barrett’s latest scans and with how well he is doing.

“She is SO pleased with Barrett!” Calah wrote.

She added that the doctor was happy with his scans and how well he continues to be doing.

Then came the words that every cancer family longs to hear:

“Thank You, Jesus, for CLEAR scans!!” 🙏🏼❤️

After everything Barrett and his family have endured, the latest results gave them a reason to pause and celebrate.

💙 ANOTHER GOOD REPORT

Calah summed up the moment with a simple but powerful message:

“We still have so much to be thankful for, but today we are celebrating THIS!”

And there is plenty to celebrate.

Another good scan.

Another good report.

Another moment to breathe.

Another reminder of hope and faith.

For Matt and Calah, the latest results mean they can spend Friday night with a little less fear and a little more peace.

For Barrett’s sister Elisabeth, it is another moment to celebrate her brother.

And for everyone who has followed Barrett’s journey, the news is a beautiful reminder of how meaningful every clear scan can be for a family living through childhood cancer. 🥹💙

The Barnes family has already walked an incredibly difficult road.

Nearly a year at St. Jude.

Extensive treatment.

Countless appointments.

Long days and difficult nights.

And all the uncertainty that comes with watching a child fight a serious illness.

Yet Barrett kept going.

Now, his latest scan has given his family another reason to look ahead with hope.

It does not erase everything they have been through, and it does not mean the journey is necessarily over.

But today, they have something precious to celebrate.

A clear scan. 🙏

Sometimes, after months of fear and uncertainty, the best news can come in just two words.

Clear scans. 🥹💙

Tonight, the Barnes family gets to breathe a little easier.

They get to celebrate Barrett.

They get to be grateful.

And they get to hold onto this beautiful moment.

👏👏👏 Congratulations, Barrett and the entire Barnes family!

🙏 Please join in celebrating this wonderful news and send Barrett, Matt, Calah, and Elisabeth your love and encouragement.

Here’s to another clear scan, another good report, and many more beautiful days ahead. 💙🎉
