Levi Camplin, a 24-year-old Indiana man, was arrested in Virginia after being identified as a suspect in a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly August 2026 sh**ting in Martinsville that left 48-year-old Jimmy Adams d*ad and another person injured.

The investigation began on Saturday night, August 29, when officers responded to reports of gunfire in Martinsville, Indiana. When police arrived, they discovered Adams had been fatally sh*t. Another individual had also been injured.

As detectives worked to determine what happened, Camplin was identified as a person of interest in the case.

For residents of Martinsville, Camplin’s arrest brought relief after days of uncertainty.

Police Chief Ryan Manley emphasized that violence would not be tolerated in the community.

“Martinsville is our community and our home,” Manley said. “We will not tolerate this type of violence in our city.”
