💙🕊️ Community Mourns 10-Year-Old Jackson Georgari as Family Shares His Story and Raises Awareness About Sleepwalking

A Missouri community is coming together to remember 10-year-old Jackson S. Georgari, whose pá´€ssing has left family, friends, and neighbors heartbroken while also bringing greater attention to the serious risks á´€ssociated with sleepwalking.

According to relatives, Jackson disappeared from his Kansas City home shortly after midnight. When a family member realized he was no longer inside the house, authorities were immediately contacted, and loved ones informed officers that Jackson had a known history of sleepwalking.

Remembering previous incidents, the family feared he might have unknowingly followed a familiar route near wooded areas, streams, and ponds close to his neighborhood. They explained that Jackson often recognized this path because it was part of his daily trip to and from school.

A large search effort quickly began as family members and emergency responders worked tirelessly, hoping to bring the young boy home safely.

Sadly, search teams later located Jackson in a nearby pond approximately half a mile from his home. According to his family, Jackson did not know how to swim, making the discovery even more heartbreaking for everyone involved.

Police said there was no immediate evidence of foul play, and investigators continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials have stated that the medical examiner will determine the official cause and manner of pá´€ssing after completing the investigation.

Jackson’s sister, Semina Richard, shared that this was not the first time he had wandered away while sleepwalking. During an earlier incident while the family lived in San Diego, Jackson was safely found after someone noticed him outside alone and contacted emergency services.

After the family later moved to Missouri, another similar episode occurred. According to his sister, Jackson again traveled toward the area where his school was located—one of the places most familiar to him in his new community. Those earlier experiences led the family to believe he may have followed that same familiar route on the night he disappeared.

Medical experts explain that sleepwalking can cause people to walk, move, or even leave their homes while remaining mostly asleep, often with little awareness of their surroundings or the dangers they may face. Many individuals have no memory of the event after waking.

While investigators continue their work, Jackson’s loved ones hope people will remember him for the joyful child he was rather than the heartbreaking circumstances of his final night.

Family members describe Jackson as a caring son, brother, grandson, and nephew whose kindness, laughter, and generous spirit touched everyone around him. They say he filled every room with warmth and was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know him.

💙🕊️ As the community continues to honor Jackson’s memory, many are also encouraging families to learn more about sleepwalking and home safety, hoping that greater awareness may help protect other children in the future. Above all, those closest to Jackson want his bright smile, loving heart, and beautiful spirit to be remembered forever.
