💔 Family Mourns 3-Year-Old Lailah Rosillo After Tragic Reservoir Accident During Camping Trip 🕊️
Don Pedro Reservoir, California — A family camping trip that was meant to create happy memories ended in heartbreak after 3-year-old Lailah Rosillo lost her life at a Central California reservoir.
The young girl was identified by authorities as the child involved in a tragic water incident at Fleming Meadows Lagoon at Don Pedro Reservoir in Tuolumne County.
According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, emergency dispatchers received a 911 call around 3:30 p.m. Saturday reporting that a young child was missing and possibly involved in a water emergency.
Additional calls soon followed, with reports that the child had been located and that bystanders were attempting to provide emergency ᴀssistance.
Deputies, firefighters, medical personnel, and members of the public responded quickly and worked to help Lailah. Despite those efforts, the child could not be revived and was pronounced ᴅᴇᴀᴅ at the scene.
Investigators are continuing to examine what happened leading up to the incident.
Authorities believe Lailah may have been playing on a blue raft before entering the water. Officials later released a pH๏τograph of the raft and asked members of the public to share any pH๏τos or videos that may show the child near the raft or other watercraft before the incident.
Investigators are also seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the moments before Lailah was found.
