JACKSON, Ga. — David Crawford was just 18 years old and preparing to begin his senior year at Jackson High School when his life came to a heartbreaking end.

Now, his family is mourning the loss of a young man they describe as intelligent, kind, outgoing, and deeply devoted to the people and beliefs that mattered most to him.

They are also searching for answers.

According to David’s family, persistent bullying and harᴀssment by other students may have contributed to the emotional pain he was experiencing before his pᴀssing. His mother, Summer Crawford, told local media that she believes her son was bullied to the point that he could no longer cope.

For the family, one of the most painful parts of the tragedy is realizing how much David may have been carrying without telling them.

His sister, Cheyenne, said David became increasingly isolated following an incident at school the previous year. The family believes rumors were spread about him afterward and that he was shunned by other students.

At home, however, David did not always reveal what was happening.

To those who knew David, he was much more than the circumstances surrounding his final days.
