💔🙏 SHE FOUGHT BLINDNESS, SURGERIES AND STAGE 3 CANCER — NOW A BRAIN TUMOR HAS FORCED THIS YOUNG LAW STUDENT TO FIGHT AGAIN

Suzi Palacios has spent much of her young life overcoming obstacles that could have stopped her in her tracks.

She lost an eye.

She was completely blind for a period of time.

She needed a hip replacement at 19.

She endured multiple transplants and experimental procedures in an effort to preserve the vision she had left.

And through it all, she kept moving forward.

She became a National Merit Scholar, graduated from college at just 19 and eventually entered law school, where she now ranks eighth in her class.

Then came another battle.

In 2025, Suzi was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer.

She underwent chemotherapy and radiation while continuing her legal education.

On August 8, she rang the remission bell. 🔔❤️

After everything she had endured, that moment represented something enormous.

Her family believed she had finally beaten cancer.

But just weeks later, everything changed again.

Suzi began experiencing severe headaches, exhaustion and stroke-like symptoms.

Early Sunday morning, doctors discovered a tumor in her brain.

Now, this remarkable South Texas woman is facing another fight.

Suzi’s story of perseverance began long before cancer.

She was born with Rieger’s syndrome and congenital glaucoma, conditions that left her legally blind and required surgeries throughout her childhood.

In eighth grade, she lost one of her eyes.

At 17, the retina in her remaining eye detached, leaving her completely blind for a significant period.

She underwent cornea transplants and experimental surgeries in an effort to preserve whatever vision remained.

But Suzi refused to let those challenges determine what her future could look like.

She graduated from Robert Vela High School in Edinburg as a National Merit Scholar and went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut at only 19.

Her accomplishments were even formally recognized by the Texas House of Representatives.

Then she pursued another dream: becoming an attorney. ⚖️

Suzi entered law school in Denver in 2024.

Today, despite everything she has faced, she maintains a 3.8 GPA and ranks eighth in her class.

Even cancer could not stop her from continuing that journey.

Now her family is asking for prayers once again.

The woman who has spent years proving that extraordinary obstacles do not have to define a life is facing another frightening chapter.

Her family is asking people to pray for the doctors treating her, the treatments ahead and the strength she will need for another difficult fight.

And there is one hope that feels especially important:

That Suzi gets the chance to finish what she started.

That she completes law school.

That she becomes the attorney she has worked so incredibly hard to become.
